NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position reports directly to the VP, Sales & Marketing, with a dotted line to the CEO.
The incumbent is charged with the overall management of the Sales team to include the Sales Manager and Sales Executives of key global markets. In addition, the Revenue Manager, Market Intelligence & Data Analyst and Reservations will ultimately report to the Director, Sales.
The position is accountable for team management, the building of successful commercial relationships and the achievement of revenue based goals, set by and in conjunction with senior management.
The position is charged with leading the cluster sales force for resorts located in the Indian Ocean; in addition to any and all future planned resorts owned/managed by Coco Collection.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Key accountabilities and responsibilities for this designation include, but are not limited to the following areas of focus and activities. Direction may be given for additional tasks outside the scope of work described at the discretion of senior management from time to time:
- Draft the annual budget and sales & marketing plans
- Determine the business mix from desired revenue channels and source markets
- Set, assign and monitor annual business plan targets per source market, per TO partner
- Ensure all activities drive an acceptable rate of return
- Analyse market trend; develop and implement activities to capture market share
- Identify new and repeat business via travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional associations

Ensuring Coco Collection brands are accurately represented and that the brand image is effectively communicated and maintained at all levels; act as brand custodian of all represented brands. Ensure that the marketing initiatives support the business plans of the business unit.
Key duties are to create and strengthen the positioning of resorts in market by focusing on customers retention and acquisition, management of strategic partnerships and multi layered marketing and PR planning, maximizing budget. The Manger will provide PR and marketing assistance with the development and preparation of each business unit’s strategy.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
- Ensure all tasks directed for the properties and corporate initiatives are implemented to the highest standard and within allocated timelines. Tasks include but are not limited to: PR, marketing, advertising, collateral development, loyalty and promotions.
- Leading the hotel brand marketing and PR initiatives, recommending best options, providing end to end delivery and implementation. Recommend media placement, e-commerce, event participation and community involvement.

- Ensure the correct policy and Coco Collection brand guidelines are followed for all printed and display materials including but not limited to collateral, web commerce, internal and external communication, conduct regular brand audits.
- Maintain and enhance the photographic library and press kits.
- Oversee writing and creative of collateral for F&B, in-room collateral, brochures, newsletters, promotions and all in house communication channels.
- Analyze competition activity, and create an appropriate filing and reference centre.

- To set in place integrated solutions to enable the Cluster Reservations Office to leverage profitability via Revenue Management practices, focusing on revenue engineering and improving efficiency in cost control
- To set in place benchmarking and monitoring mechanisms at all units that will permit the constant tracking of financial results through the course of the year, and proactively permit the identification of need and opportunity areas
- To project manage the successful implementation and upgrades of systems, including all phases of installation as and when required
