From 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu presents Roots & Tides: Celebrating Maldivian Heritage, a festive programme inspired by island traditions, local flavours, the ocean and the warmth of Maldivian hospitality.

Set within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the season brings Maldivian culture to life through traditional performances, island-inspired dining and nature-led experiences. From Bodu Mas and Lava Baazi to the Keyolhu Beach BBQ, each offers a glimpse into the traditions and stories that have shaped island life.

There is plenty to discover together, from restorative yoga and sunset drinks to leisurely brunches, live music and private picnics on secluded Embudhoo Island.  Younger explorers can enjoy Little Hoteliers, treasure trails, creative activities and Kids’ Ocean Day, while Ocean Stories, Turtle Tales and Aquatic Raiders invite guests to discover more about the marine world surrounding the island.

Christmas Eve brings a gala dinner with live music, while New Year’s Eve begins with sunset aperitifs before a gala dinner and countdown to 2027.  The celebrations continue into January, culminating with the Island Festive Feast and Afterglow, featuring a bonfire, DJ and special performances.
