The Biggest Hour for Earth
Mar, 17 2026

Coco Collection is delighted to celebrate Earth Hour, joining a global movement to switch off the lights for 60 minutes and shine a spotlight on our planet at both Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu.
At Coco Bodu Hithi, the island will come alive as the Earth Hour logo is beautifully illuminated, a powerful symbol of unity and a shared commitment to protecting the environment. Guests can immerse themselves in the serene magic of the evening, witnessing the island transform into a glowing celebration of nature, before the night concludes with the captivating rhythms of traditional Boduberu around a warm bonfire beneath the starlit Maldivian sky. It is a moment of reflection, connection, and community, where the beauty of the Maldives merges seamlessly with the purpose of environmental care.
Meanwhile, at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, the celebration continues with a thoughtfully curated series of experiences designed to engage the senses and inspire a deeper connection with nature. Guests can begin the evening with a candlelit dinner, featuring a set menu inspired by mindful living, providing a serene and intimate introduction to the night. Following this, the Coco Pledge Writing experience invites guests to write a promise for nature, joining the resort in its mission to care for the ocean, marine life, and island home. As the evening progresses, the Earth Hour Glow along Coco Beach offers a quiet, reflective moment as the Earth Hour symbol lights up the shoreline, reminding all of the importance of protecting our planet. The night culminates with Rhythms by the Fire, as the resonant beats of Boduberu echo beneath the stars, bringing guests together in a celebration of culture, nature, and shared commitment.
This Earth Hour, Coco Collection welcomes guests to step away from the ordinary and embrace a truly meaningful experience that honours the planet, connects communities, and celebrates the magic of the Maldives under the stars.
